Weird Monday
Yesterday was a weird day... but I did ok. I wasn't really hungry so hence the low calories consumed. I work at a private school (Regional office) and two of our students were murdered Sunday night. They were 4 and 10 years old. The media was calling trying to get their names and it was just creepy. It affected my appetite for sure. Riding the bike for a few minutes must have helped calories burned. Hoping to get some bike riding in tonight... thank goodness it is lighter later! Until next time...

Weight Loss Simulator
This link is for a weight loss simulator that you can upload your picture to and it will show you in 3-D what you will look like now and at your goal weight. I used their model and input my height, weight and body type and it was pretty cool! I am looking forward to putting my picture in. I need to do some better before pictures. I had someone take the ones I have posted with my cell phone. Until next time...

Cranky
On the upside, I had ALL sorts of blood tests done on Thursday night and they came back with great results. My blood sugars are the best they have been in 5 years. I do attribute that to the weight loss. It is nice to see the actual effects on the numbers. My doctor did recommend that I take Niacin to help with Cholesterol.

Control and Inches
I did well until I got home. Was bored and ended up eating a Drumstick Ice Cream. It had 17 grams of fat! Yuck! One thing I have been doing well with is not weighing myself daily. I put the scale in the closet and I haven't pulled it out at all. I was tempted this morning but talked myself out of it. I measured myself and my total inches lost is 8.5" My thighs are down 4" and my upper arms are down 2". I could tell my upper arms were smaller because I had to tighten the strap.

Intangibles
There have already been some intangible benefits to my weight loss. I can move easier and faster. I had to get rid of some of my clothes because they are too BIG. I can wear clothes in my closet that I haven’t worn in months… it is the little things you don’t think about.
One thing that I have been thinking about it is riding on a plane. A year ago, I went with my mom to the Caribbean for Christmas. I had to get an extension for the seatbelt. It was horrible! I cried! I don’t ever want to do that again. I was aiming for a 40 lbs. loss by July for the Alaska cruise but now we are going to go to Colorado May 21st to see my nephews High School graduation. If I keep losing an average of 2 lbs per week I should have no problem reaching that goal for the May trip. That will be 20 weeks into the program. Right now it is week 12. I need to step it up!

Monday Monday Monday
Well I knew yesterday was going to be bad. Stayed in a deficit so I am happy about that. I am feeling low energy today so probably won't get much exercising in. I need to put air in my bike tires so maybe I can do that tonight so I will be good to go.
Who is this dude and why is he pointing his finger at me! I wonder why Apex switched the people in the software. Did they do any market research first? I would like to see the focus group who picked him! I don't like him. Give me Mr. Bodybugg back!

Sleeping with the Bugg
Well last night was the first night I ever slept with the bugg on. I thought it would be annoying to have it on at night but it wasn't. Then I saw the results and I realized why people have been doing it. I don't know if it had a huge impact on the numbers but it did have points where I was burning more then others. Interesting experiment. I am crampy and lethargic today. I actually got a visit from Aunt Flo. Funny that I was just saying how long it had been and then here she comes. I knew I was feeling funky but I just couldn't put my finger on it. Hopefully today goes by fast and painlessly.

Little by Little
So I lost 1 lb. this week and I am pleased. It is coming off little by little. I am shooting for going to the gym tonight. I did drank 2 liters of water yesterday. That is a lot of water! I would like to do that every day but I think I will have to build up to it. I was amazed to learn through Mike's post that it weighs 8 lbs... that is amazing... but it is SO good for you.

Spring Cleaning
Had good numbers again yesterday which is encouraging. I did have some Corned Beef and cabbage. I asked for a deck of cards size portion from the server so I felt good about that. I didn't drink any green beer though. Speaking of beer... I miss it! I have not had a beer all year! I know how bad it is and will NOT drink one any time soon but I sure do miss it. I have been in Spring Cleaning mode the last week or so. I am purging stuff which makes me feel good and it burns more calories while I do it so it is a win-win. I toggled back and forth from BL to American Idol so I missed most of the 1st hour of BL but did catch the end to see that Kathy went home. I identify the most with her and Kristin. Kathy looks great! She said she is now addicted to exercising!! I love it!

Organizing
Well my numbers were good yesterday. Nice way to start the week! Instead of just sitting around in the evening I got up off my arse and was organizing things that I had taken out of the trunk of my car. (I was making room for my scale! Just kidding!) I worked on it until I went to bed around 10:30 p.m. Looking forward to BL tonight. The contestants are going home for a week so we will see how they do on their own. It is St. Patrick's Day, so I will eat some Corned Beef and Cabbage for dinner. Wonder what the calorie content is... I imagine there is a large amount of sodium in it so I will be sure to drink extra water.
Side note: Nicole is going to do Jenny Craig so she cleaned out her fridge/freezer and brought it ALL to me. It will really to have them handy when I don't want to cook or need something quickly.

Random Post
So while taking a mental break at work, I decided to check out my horoscope: One of your friends has been giving you some really good advice regarding your health, and it's time to stop feeling so defensive about it. They want the best for you! So if they're suggesting that you go to the gym, eat healthier food or put a stop a bad habit, it's not because they want to tell you how to live your life. It's because they want you to live a long and capable life. Take that chip off your shoulder and take some of what they say to heart. I about fell off my chair when I read that.

Finally!!
I finally made it to the gym! I have not had that much of a deficit since I started. It is really exciting to see those kinds of numbers!! One thing that was a little odd this morning was when I logged in there is a new gal in a pink sweatshirt. Where is Mr. Bodybugg with his arms at his side and his stern glare? Maybe they are trying to be gender appropriate. Now, if I can keep on track this weekend. I seem to struggle more on the weekends with keeping food logged. Another retrain the brain thing. One person mentioned at least writing it on a notepad and enter it in later which I thought was a good idea.
